TOPICS*
2024 EMEA Cash Cycle Seminar Topics
Advancements in Cash Processing
The key to lowering the cost of cash is efficiency and this session will hear a number of perspectives on the processes, considerations, challenges and benefits of modernization and automation at various levels of the cash cycle including issuing authority, commercial bank and CIT, and retail and help different sectors of the cash cycle understand shared challenges and resolutions.
Cash & Payment Trends; Local, Regional, Global
Different countries have different levels of cash use and different roadmaps for broadening the wider payments ecosystem. This session will help attendees understand cash and payment trends at a variety of scales and the processes being driven by the relevant stakeholders to continue the development of their cash systems.
Cash Cycle Efficiency and Sustainability
How to keep costs down whilst justifying investment into increasingly important sustainability initiatives is a debate in all regions of the world, and this session will look forward to learning how business and environmental sustainability in cash production, circulation and destruction can go hand in hand to provide an efficient, low impact production and circulation model.
Contingency & Resilience
This session will focus on the contingency measures in place to assist with keeping cash circulating in time of crisis, for example in times of war or natural disaster. Banks and other stakeholders will share their experiences of planning along with the rapid innovation required when a crisis unfolds, and ways of cooperating domestically and internationally.
Future of Cash In Transit
Cash In Transit is a key link in the cash cycle whose role is dynamic, potentially subject to heavy and changeable regulation and in some countries facing a challenge between needing to invest in the face of declining cash usage. Leading CIT companies will share their current thoughts on the state of the industry, the latest developments and considerations for the future drawing on experience from across the region.
Integrating Production & Circulation
Issuing authorities have a difficult balancing act between cost, durability and security in both designing and producing currency, the implications of which will affect the public perception and use of cash for potentially a number of years. Because the largest cost associated with cash is during circulation significant consideration should be given during design to the circulatory infrastructure available to ensure the most efficient circulation of cash possible.
Modernising the Cash Cycle
This session will examine different cash cycle models and consider relatives merits of different systems, challenges of changing the status quo and invite participants to consider future challenges relating to fluctuating usage of cash, contingency planning, and changing payment preferences.
Innovation Sessions
Provided by our event sponsors, some of the leading global and regional cash industry suppliers, focused innovation sessions will allow attendees a chance to hear of the lastest advancements in cash cycle technology in the fields of processing and handling, forecasting, security and integration.
